Chronicles of Tiruvannamalai

2010-2015

These photographs were shot in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, an ancient nature worship site. In Saiva philosophy, it is considered as Agni (Fire) one of the Five Elements. The other four are wind, water, earth, and space. The town is also considered a part of the 2000-year-old Silk Road that connected East Asia and Southeast Asia with South Asia, Persia, the Arabian Peninsula, East Africa, and Southern Europe.
